This article “Sisters in Arms" is about the U.S. military is lifting
the long standing ban on the women in combat. “Of the 2.5 million Americans who
have served in both wars since 2001, about 12 percent have been women. Like
men, some of these women have come home bearing the mental and physical of
war." This quote states that just are stronger than females doesn't mean
that women don’t walk out of wars with scars to tell what went down. "Since2001, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have drastically changed
the military's needs. Today, women make up almost 15 percent of the 1.4 million
active-duty U.S military. About 18,000 women are currently deployed to
Afghanistan, according to the pentagon. This quotes states that since 2001 there
been a change. A lot of women have been deployed and that more and more women
will. I believe this article was very interesting and i happy to see that women are finally getting a chance to be able to work in the male field. What will happen next? Will it still be the same?
You've done a good job summarizing and explaining some of the details in the article, but you do not have enough of your own opinions and commentary. See parts 3 and 4 of the blog post format for examples of what I am looking for. 70
