16 Year Old Teenager's Driving
This article "Should 16-year-olds drive? "by Ted Gregory is about how people think that giving 16 year-old teenagers a driver licence is a wrong thing to do. According to the article it states " Also, the teen brain is at a particularly vulnerable point in development. Fifteen-and-16 year-olds have the logical reasoning of an adult, experts say. But their young minds' social and emotional development remains relatively immature and voraciously seeks sensual arousal, novelty and risk". This quote states that teenagers act like adults, but they still think like their immature selves. They also think it depends on who is driving. According to the article it, also states"The report also showed that the New Jersey fatality rate fell significantly for teens after a graduated licensing law was enacted. Among the state's 17-year-old drivers, the percentage in fatal crashes dropped 33 percent after the law was enacted. This quote states that among the 17 year old teenagers driving the percentage of crashing went down. This article to me is very interesting because it talks about teenage driving and you can never be to safe when you drive. After reading this article you'll learn about teenage driving and how dangerous and not dangerous it is.

Taking ADHD Pills Just To Help With School
This article " Attention Disorder or Not, Pills to Help in School" is about how kids are prescribed pills for no reason . For Example "Although A.D.H.D is the diagnosis Dr. Anderson makes, he calls the disorder "made up" and "an excuse" to prescribe the pills to treat what he considers the children's true problem-poor academic performance in inadequate schools" This means that kids are given Adderall just to see if their behavior will improve. It also says that Dr. Anderson: prescribed Adderall for Alexis 12,Ethan 9, Risperdal for Quintn,Perry, both 11,and Clonidine for all four , taken nightly. "Quintn began taking Adderall for A.D.H.D about 5 years ago , when his disruptive school behavior led to calls home and in-school suspensions." This means that before he started to take the pills for his behavior he was very wild,rambunctious.. Another example is when it states "When puberty began at about 10, though, Quintn got into fights at school because, he said, other children were insulting his mother. This just says that Quintn felt as that the kids shouldn't have talked about his mother and that it was getting on his nerves and that was the last string.."Despite Quintn's experience with Adderall, the Rocaforts decided to use it with their 12-year-old daughter,Alexis, and 9-year-old son Ethan. These children don't have A.D.H.D., their parents said. This means that just because one bad experience doesn't means that it might be a bad experience for these children.

NewYork Bans Sugary Drinks Over 16oz
The article " NYC bans drinks over 16oz" by:Jennifer Peltz and David B. Carus is about howt they passed a ban on the sale of some soft drinks on Thursday. The ban applies to any business with a food-service license, including fast-food places, delis, movies and theaters, the concession stands at stadiums and other restaurants. They will be banned from serving sugary beverages in cups or bottles larger than 16 ounces. The ban is set to take effect in March. I feel as that if their going to ban 16oz sugary drinks that they should ban coffee’s over 16ozs to because coffee is a sugary drink and it could stop your growth spurts.”We cannot continue to have our kids come down with diabetes at age 6,” said Mayor Michael Bloomberg. This means that their worried about kids getting diabetes at 6 when kids drink coffee every morning just energy.Another example is “Nobody is banning anything,” he said, noting that restaurant customers can still buy as much soda as they want, as long as they are willing to carry it in multiple containers. To me this means were not banning how much soda soda you drink just how much you put in one cup. This article to me is very annoying because it talks about kids could get diabetes but they don’t care how much you drink just how much you put in a cup. After reading this hopefully you’ll get a different perspective on the banning of sugary drinks over 16oz.

Texting Has It's Ups And Downs
The article "Texting May Be Taking a Toll" By Katie Hafner is mainly about how teenagers these days are spending alot of time texting and not on there school work. For example "greg hardesty, a reporter on lake forest, calif., said late last year his 13 year-old daughter,Reina, racked up 14,528 texts in one, month”. To me this quotes means that she was spending more time texting instead doing other important things. Another example “ Finally, when her grades fell precipitously, her parents confiscated the phone”. “Reina grades have since improved, and the phone is back in her hands, but messages are limited to 5,ooo per month-and none between 9pm and 6am on weekdays.” This quote to me means she spent time texting and spent no time studying or nothing. I think this topic is very important because teenagers do what they want on their phone and some parents don’t care what they do as long as it don’t involves them.Thats why all of children that be having their eyes stuck to their phones are mostly the ones who are failing in school. Before i read the article i thoght it was going to a article about how parents think texting is so annoying but i realized that texting is a real big problem and we need to lay back. A possible solution is if we only text a certain amout of hours or a certain amount text messages a day or month because this can be a infirmity for us because it can cause thumb disabilities.

CHEATERS,CHEATERS,CHEATERS
Robert Perez-Pena wrote a article informing us how alot of students have been cheating. According to the article cheating had uncovered last year. The students that cheat are mostly are the ones who in the top of class. Studies said "Cheating has become easier and more widely tolerated, and schools and parentshave failed to give students strong, reptitive messages about what is allowed and what is not." This shows how cheating is a problem. I think that this topic is very important because their is alot of cheating going on and cheating is not going to get nowhere in life. Before i read this article i only thought that only a kids in middle school and elementary school cheat. But i see that one of the best colleges Harvard has cheating there to. This article help realize that you should never cheat you will never learn anything just study properly. The article made me wonder if techers know if they cheat or not and is the students who dont cheat are at the bottom of class. And also why are the some of the best schools cheating thats just making you think were they ever good schools in the first place. I wonder if anyone in my class have cheated. This article also help me realize that all schools might have at least one or students that probably cheat.
